All Programs

Queer art presents focuses on audience development for lgbtq artists through public presentations organized in partnership with co-presenting venues. Included within this initiative is the long-running monthly screening series queer art film at the ifc center in greenwich village, in which a diverse and influential line-up of lgbtq artists are invited to present and discuss films that have most inspired them.

Queer art mentorship is an intergenerational mentorship program that supports a year-long exchange between emerging and established artists working in film, literature, performance, visual art, and curatorial practice. The program supports, on average, 10 new mentor/fellow pairs each year and culminates in an annual exhibition.

Queer art awards is an initiative of grants, prizes, and residencies that includes a spectrum of support-monetary and otherwise-for lgbtq artists. It includes the annual queer art prize awards and a growing number of individual grants, such as the barbara hammer lesbian experimental filmmaking grant.
