All Programs
Since its inception in 2016, encircle has deployed two core initiatives to provide ongoing support to vulnerable lgbtq+ youth and their families: 1) a suite of evidence-based affirming programs designed to cultivate connection, family acceptance, and belonging, including daily peer-to-peer friendship circles; and 2) access to co-located quality mental health therapy services. Since opening its first home in provo, utah in February 2017, encircle has provided life-affirming programming to over 25,000 families and lgbtq+ youth, including 8000 subsidized mental health therapy sessions. Since encircles founding in 2016, not one youth has been lost to suicide.
Encircle therapy encourages lgbtq+ youth to seek help by subsidizing ten sessions of mental health therapy with a licensed therapist to any youth who seeks it. For those without mental health insurance or stable financial resources, encircle offers a sliding-scale fee structure to attempt to bridge the gap between socioeconomic status and access to mental health services. Encircle therapy is currently paneled with nine health insurers.
